The partnership will focus on capturing CO? from chemical and combustion processes, transporting the captured emissions, and securing their permanent geological storage. This approach is designed to support industrial emitters in meeting decarbonization targets while contributing to regional and global sustainability goals.
Carbon Circle will provide its modular post-combustion carbon capture facility designs, which are suitable for a wide variety of industrial uses. These technologies are expected to align with Yinson Production’s CCS plans, creating opportunities for integrated decarbonization solutions.
This collaboration builds on Yinson’s prior work, including the installation of what it described as the world’s first offshore post-combustion carbon capture unit. The facility was deployed on its FPSO Agogo, operating offshore Angola at an oil asset run by Azule Energy, a 50/50 joint venture between BP and Eni.
Lars Gunnar Vogt, Chief Technical Officer of Yinson Production, stated: “This partnership is in line with Yinson Production’s broader efforts in the carbon capture and storage (CCS) value chain. Together, we are pushing boundaries to make carbon reduction scalable, achievable, and meaningful for the environment.”
As the operator of a fleet of floating production and storage units for the oil and gas sector, Yinson Production is advancing a complete CCS value chain through its subsidiary Stella Maris CCS. The company aims to position itself as a key contributor to large-scale decarbonization projects, supporting industries in their transition to lower emissions.

Building on to the experience gained from the Agogo CCS project, this cooperation agreement is a milestone, setting the stage for continued partnership and future achievements.”
Carbon Circle’s recent activities also include a collaboration with Amplus VGE, a joint venture between Amplus Energy and Versatile Group (VG Energy), aimed at developing marginal oil and gas fields in West Africa while expanding carbon capture initiatives.
By combining Yinson Production’s offshore operational expertise with Carbon Circle’s modular technologies, the partnership is expected to strengthen the availability of scalable and practical carbon capture solutions. The agreement underscores both companies’ commitment to accelerating progress in sustainable energy practices and providing industries with pathways to meet long-term climate objectives.
