The 12 wind turbines of this second Capital Energy wind farm in Cantabria will be capable of supplying clean energy to more than 56,000 homes and will prevent the emission of some 54,300 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.

The construction of Ribota will lead to the creation of some 295 jobs and will have an annual economic impact on local coffers, as well as through leasing contracts, of around 266,500 euros.

The Industry and Energy Area of ??the Government Delegation in Cantabria has announced that it is submitting to public information the request for prior administrative authorization of its second wind farm in the community: Ribota. This renewable facility will have an installed power of 51 megawatts (MW) and will involve an investment of around 36 million euros.

The 12 wind turbines of this Cantabrian installation of Capital Energy, which will share the electricity evacuation infrastructures with the Garma Blanca park, also owned by the company, will be capable of supplying clean energy to more than 56,000 homes and will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of about 54,300 tons of CO2 per year.

The Ribota wind farm, located in the municipalities of San Roque de Riomiera, Selaya, Villacarriedo, Saro, Arredondo, Miera, Riotuerto, Entrambasaguas and Solórzano, will also promote the creation of some 295 jobs during its construction phase -10 in the construction phase. operation- and will have an annual economic impact on local coffers (IBI and IAE), as well as through leasing contracts, of around 266,500 euros. To this recurring amount is added the one-off payment of the ICIO, which will amount to 1.25 million euros, as well as another single payment for rights of way that amounts to more than 438,000 euros.

Recently, the Industry and Energy Area of ??the Government Delegation in Cantabria has also submitted to public information the company’s first wind farm in this autonomous community, Garma Blanca, an installation that will, in turn, have an installed power of 51 MW.

Capital Energy currently has 17 renewable energy projects in Cantabria, all of them wind power. They have a combined capacity of almost 690 MW and their development will involve a global investment of approximately 650 million euros.
